Where has Prince William been? After heading for North Wales for work the day after he announced his engagement to university sweetheart Kate Middleton, William has surely had a busy week.
48 hours after the engagement announcement, William helped rescue a heart attack victim.
This weekend, he took a break. So what better way to unwind and put wedding thoughts briefly to one side than a day at the football with the lads.
The heir to the throne was snapped in the stands at the Bloomfield Road stadium today watching Blackpool take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A royal spokesperson said he’s on a private weekend away with friends which has been planned for a long time. He was said to be on a weekend stag party for a friend’s upcoming wedding. It’s much too early for his own.

Clarifying Kate’s Role after the Wedding
From The Telegraph: Royal aides yesterday contradicted widespread reports that Miss Middleton would not be a working princess and that she instead intended to start a family early in her marriage to Prince William.
“Catherine has made it clear that she wants to get stuck into work for the Royal family and that she wants to support her future husband,” said a senior royal aide. “The intention is that Prince William will show Catherine the ropes: how she goes about becoming a member of the Royal family, how to work with charities and how to do the job.”
The aide added: “Prince William is keen to show that Catherine wants to help him with the job, so I would expect her to attend a couple of engagements with him prior to the wedding and then many more after the wedding. That’s when her new life will really start, but they will be joint engagements and you will not see her doing anything solo for some time. The couple want Catherine to take on a meaningful role, but at her own pace and not feeling under pressure.”
So how has Kate been holding up on her own around London while her fiance is away at work (and the weekend stag do)?
According to the Daily Star, aides have already dubbed her Catherine the Great for her steely resolve and refusal to be pushed about.
One said: “Anyone who thought this nice little girl would be a pushover is in for a surprise. She’s polite and charming but she’s nobody’s fool. She will make decisions with William – but if he’s not there, without him.”

Good on you, Kate! Furthermore, we are seeing more signs that William is very protective of his future wife to make sure she doesn’t suffer Diana’s fate:
Prince William is embarking on a “zero tolerance” policy towards the paparazzi which will see him take immediate legal action if he feels his or Kate Middleton’s privacy is breached in the run-up to their wedding. The Prince intends, if necessary, to launch an early test case as part of a campaign to ensure that he and his fiancée do not have to suffer the same levels of intrusion as his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

This doesn’t answer my question. In between royal engagements with William what is Kate going to do with her time while William is in the military?

So happy for Wills and Catherine! I am very sure she will do very well in her future role as princess because her fiance is making sure she transitions well. Everyone will want to see her everywhere but of course she has to consider setting aside time for herself and her husband. I hope she doesn’t fall into the pressure of living up to expectations.
