From Clarence House:
Here is the latest update on the arrangements for the wedding of HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton. Prince William and Miss Middleton have made the following decisions about their wedding day on 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey:
The Wedding Day
- Miss Middleton will travel to the wedding service at Westminster Abbey by car along a route that will include The Mall, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and Parliament Square.
- The wedding service will begin at 11am. The Dean of Westminster will conduct the service, the Archbishop of Canterbury will marry Prince William and Miss Middleton, and the Bishop of London will give the address.
- The couple, now married, will return along a Processional Route in a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. The route will include Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and The Mall.
- On arrival at Buckingham Palace, The Queen will give a Reception for the couple and guests drawn from the congregation representing the couple’s official and private lives.
- The Prince of Wales will give a private dinner, followed by dancing, at Buckingham Palace in the evening, for the couple and their close friends and family.
Further details about the wedding day will be made in due course.

So what’s makes this different from other royal weddings? For starters, Kate Middleton will be traveling by car to the Abbey and not by the traditional horse-drawn glass coach used by Diana and Fergie. Another is the number of receptions. This one will have an additional dinner and dancing party! Can’t wait for more details…
Kate Middleton is Tatler’s February 2011 Cover – Andy Warhol style
The future princess graces her first Tatler cover (left), a “collectors edition” celebrating her engagement to Prince William. However there isn’t a new picture nor an interview inside. Prince William is also given the Warhol treatment inside for its 19-page special on the royal wedding, including a tongue-in-cheek feature predicting what may lie ahead for the married couple, and a piece by India Hicks, who was bridesmaid to Lady Diana Spencer.

Kate Middleton prepares for modest monarchy
Kate Middleton has been spotted scouring the sales racks at Peter Jones, the Chelsea branch of John Lewis.
“Kate’s been a PJ customer for years and she’s told us that she’ll continue to come here when she’s married to William,” gushes one of the saleswomen in the second-floor fashion department. During three visits, Prince William’s fiancée took advantage of the sales to buy from such brands as Paul Costelloe, Whistles and Fenn Wright Mason. On one trip, she brought her mother, Carole, who made purchases in the Jaeger section.
