Royal rep squashes wedding rumors

Someone needed to halt the rumour wheel that’s spinning around the world about a 2011 Royal Wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton.  Royal author Katie Nicholl has been promoting her book, William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls, and has given interviews to many major networks, fueling speculations. Also, Us Weekly placed William and Kate on the cover again, claiming a 2011 wedding and talking about a “secret pact” they made in 2007 in the Seychelles. (No doubt also with Katie Nicholl as their source).

Now Star Magazine, Us Weekly’s rival, publishes that Paddy Harveson, the Communications Secretary to the Prince of Wales and spokesman for Prince William, says of the cover story in the tabloid Us magazine is rubbish.

“It is completely untrue. Absolutely wrong. The only two people who know about an engagement or a wedding are William and Kate themselves. As soon as they are ready to announce an engagement they will tell us and we will put it out almost immediately.

“We have no interest in lying. This story is just speculation but it is wrong.”

This is what palace reps have been saying all along.  They have no knowledge of any wedding plan.  Sources say that IF William and Kate do reveal they’re engaged, the palace personnel are given as little as 3 days notice before it is announced to the world.  That’s how secretive William is.  So for those who thought a wedding was for certain, hold your chariots!… until it’s official.

More Locals Praise Kate Middleton

Locals from Yattendon, England, near Kate’s Bucklebury home, give their opinion about Kate Middleton.

“We’d be delighted,” said Pru Shepheard of a possible royal wedding, while doing her daily shopping at the village store where Middleton is a frequent customer, occasionally accompanied by William. “It would be madness for them not to get married.

“Kate’s one of us – she doesn’t put on airs and graces, and she’s such a lovely girl. Everyone who meets her, likes her.”
