Royal rep squashes wedding rumors
Someone needed to halt the rumour wheel that’s spinning around the world about a 2011 Royal Wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton. Royal author Katie Nicholl has been promoting her book, William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls, and has given interviews to many major networks, fueling speculations. Also, Us Weekly placed William and Kate on the cover again, claiming a 2011 wedding and talking about a “secret pact” they made in 2007 in the Seychelles. (No doubt also with Katie Nicholl as their source).
Now Star Magazine, Us Weekly’s rival, publishes that Paddy Harveson, the Communications Secretary to the Prince of Wales and spokesman for Prince William, says of the cover story in the tabloid Us magazine is rubbish.
“It is completely untrue. Absolutely wrong. The only two people who know about an engagement or a wedding are William and Kate themselves. As soon as they are ready to announce an engagement they will tell us and we will put it out almost immediately.
“We have no interest in lying. This story is just speculation but it is wrong.”
This is what palace reps have been saying all along. They have no knowledge of any wedding plan. Sources say that IF William and Kate do reveal they’re engaged, the palace personnel are given as little as 3 days notice before it is announced to the world. That’s how secretive William is. So for those who thought a wedding was for certain, hold your chariots!… until it’s official.

More Locals Praise Kate Middleton
Locals from Yattendon, England, near Kate’s Bucklebury home, give their opinion about Kate Middleton.
“We’d be delighted,” said Pru Shepheard of a possible royal wedding, while doing her daily shopping at the village store where Middleton is a frequent customer, occasionally accompanied by William. “It would be madness for them not to get married.
“Kate’s one of us – she doesn’t put on airs and graces, and she’s such a lovely girl. Everyone who meets her, likes her.”

Has there been any clear sign from William that he’s ready for marriage? I haven’t noticed one at all! In fact, whenever William does interviews he speaks about his military and nothing else. That’s his main focus, not marriage.

Sam, it is William’s every intention to separate his public and private lives. Therefore him not uttering a word about his girlfriend or about marriage is totally expected.

heres my opinion: if you’ve never met the girl, then why judge her so harshly?? to me thats the same as judging a whole race based off of one persons actions. who cares if she cant hold a job..? im sure alot of us have done things that others have criticized us for, even though we ourselves knew the real reasons behind our actions. and i see no problem with william wanting to marrya “commoner” instead of an heiress. last time i checked, change was a good thing…

Here’s my question: If you’ve never met the girl, why support her so ardently?
How on earth is judging Kate based on her actions like judging a whole race based off one person’s actions?
“who cares if she cant hold a job?” I do. And so do many people.
I don’t care if he marries a ‘commoner’. She is not middle-class. Her parents are millionaires. They are part of the rich-upper class.

Just because William doesn’t talk about his personal life doesn’t mean he’s not focused on it. For someone who fiercely wishes for more privacy, talking about marriage would only bring more media frenzy.
