Some good and bad news for the Duke of York. He has been appointed as Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) by the Queen for his services to the crown. The British Monarchy website published this new appointment.

Ironically, on the same day,his judgment has again been called into question after he was pictured with a convicted child-sex offender. Prince Andrew is said to have spent four days at the Manhattan home of disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. He was photographed strolling through Central Park with the 58-year-old financier, who is on the U.S. sex offenders’ register after he admitted soliciting teenage girls into prostitution.

People Question Fergie’s Royal Wedding Snub

Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, is one of the most talked about non-invite to the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. She and Diana had a fall-out before her death. More recently, she was involved in a “Cash for Access” scandal where she attempted to receive money in exchange for access to her ex-husband.

However some people question why she can’t score an invitation. The Sun published 7 never-before-seen candid pictures of the Queen and her family. One of them was young William on a pony, with Fergie beside him. As veteran photographer Arthur Edwards says: “They were so close, she loves William so much – it surprised me that she won’t be going to his wedding.” And as Jan Moir says in her column, Yes, Fergie has sinned but she doesn’t deserve to be treated like a leper.

On the other hand, Kate Middleton’s disgraced Uncle Gary will be attending the wedding. The millionaire property developer, who is Kate’s mother Carole’s younger brother, was exposed in July 2009 as a cannabis-smoking drugs dealer offering to arrange call girls and cocaine for visitors to his home in Ibiza. Since then, he is said to have cleaned up his lifestyle after moving back to London and quitting alcohol.

Kate Middleton is taking the fashion world by storm, with her outfits selling out almost instantly. However Dame Vivienne Westwood appeared to suggest that the bride-to-be was not stylish enough to wear one of her outfits. “I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style,” she said.
