An speculative article from Adam Helliker of the Sunday Express, talking about the palace’s concern for Kate’s “Waity Katey” image amidst her family’s fear of exploitation. Here are some highlights.  Believe what you want to believe :D

  • Kate & William had an intimate pub lunch (not dinner as previously reported) at Pot Kiln on Valentine’s Day
  • While Kate helped James design The Cake Kit Company website, she won’t be joining his cake shop venture in London
  • Kate designs the Party Pieces website, and is the chief (and only) photographer of the party paraphernalia
  • Courtiers are concerned about how Kate will improve her image and find herself a fulfilling occupation in the next “2-3 years before joining the royal family”.  It is not a question of romance (it’s acknowledged that it is a case of when, not if, they will eventually marry).
  • “There’s a fear, bordering on paranoia, by Kate’s parents, particularly her mother Carole, of what she does next. They feel completely stuck about how to help their daughter move forward in a way which won’t upset the Royals. The reality is that it’s not much fun being William’s girlfriend when you’re so afraid of putting a foot wrong.”
