Mario Testino, famous for his timeless snaps of the late Princess Diana, has revealed his desire to photograph two subjects — the Queen and Kate Middleton.
“When I first came to London 32 years ago, I never expected to do even one royal – so I was shocked when I got my chance with Diana,” he tells Richary Kay. “My only previous chance to do Her Majesty came when I was one of the paparazzi pack. I’ve done five front covers for Vogue in my career and I think it would be great to photograph the Queen.”
“I’d also love to photograph Kate Middleton. But with some people it’s hard to find a time when you are both free to organise it. I haven’t managed to pin her down yet.” Rumors swirled last year that budding photographer Kate was to be Mario Testino’s apprentice — but Testino has since denied it.
