Since Chelsy Davy — Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend — broke up with her prince and moved back to Africa last September, we have heard very little of her and often wondered how she’s doing, or if she and Harry have any chance of reconciliation. So it’s a pity that the first bit of news we get is about her father, Charles Davy, and his controversial business that has been for years speculated to have ties to the Mugabe regime.

A game reserve in Zimbabwe part-owned by the father of Chelsy Davy has a new majority investor, in a deal that demonstrates his closeness to Robert Mugabe’s regime. Charles Davy, along with the other owners of the Bubye Conservancy in Matabeleland South province, has accepted an investment by a consortium led by Dubai World, the sovereign investment company of the Arab emirate. Charles Davy fights back, threatens to sue
In response to the above article, Charles Davy has responded by saying this is “exactly why I do not give interviews, they create stories and those stories fuel the fire of creating more absolute rubbish stories.” He sent a letter to the website saying: “I will be sending an objection to this article to the editor and will take advice from my legal representative about taking the strongest possible action against them.”  He sends a long email to a British journalist defending himself, mentioning that the only reason for this rubbish is because stories with Royal connection are saleable.  Article: The Zimbabwean

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has allegedly been asked by William and Kate to perform at the their reception, as his music will appeal to all guests, including the Queen.  But alas, McCartney’s rep says he has no knowledge of the royal invite.
