**Updated with video below** Warning:  this news bit is originally from Katie Nicholl, who I have very little faith in.  Basically, it’s another weekend in the royal fold, and as with every winter, speculation of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding is rife. Personally, I don’t think this means anything… or changes that fact that we know nothing about this couple’s plans

According to Katie Nicholl, 2012 looks like the year — even if it was previously written off as “too busy.”  A wedding in 2012 would mean it would coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as well as the London Summer Olympics.  But according to “a source,” the Queen has privately expressed that she would be delighted if it were to happen, and that she could use some help carrying out numerous official functions she has all year.

Some royal watchers are looking into 2011 — a much less busy year.  But according to the article, it may be too soon for William.  The RAF would not be happy if he only spent very little time serving as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot after spending for his training.  After all, he and Kate are expected to take on full time royal duties after marriage.
