Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl continues to promote her new book, entitled William and Harry, which is already out in the UK. She recently gave another interview to a South African publication, sharing her opinion on the Princes. Here are some things she shared:
About how she started: Katie’s route to fame started when she witnessed Harry’s partying first hand as a young show business reporter covering an event at the Kensington Roof Gardens. “I had gone outside onto the terrace when Harry suddenly emerged from the VIP room. ‘You look freezing,’ he said as he tried to light his cigarette. ‘Do come and join my party. I was welcomed in and I was trusted.”
About her book: “I have been told Prince William was surprised that I found out about his first love, Rose Farquhar.”
About William & Kate Middleton: “”The relationship hasn’t always been smooth but they are making the most of their freedom. At the moment they go on long weekends together and we (the press) know nothing about it. When they get married all that will stop. William told Kate she was the one, but he was not ready to get married. He promised her his commitment and said he would not let her down, and she in turn agreed to wait for him.”
About Harry & Chelsy Davy: “I don’t think Harry is going to end up with Chelsy. They are very on and off. Chelsy has decided she wants to come back to Africa, which was never the plan.”
Other tidbits: William and Camilla’s daughter, Laura, used to have the most awful rows. But William got on with Camilla from the start. Harry, on the other hand, took more time to warm up to his stepmum.

William’s fight with Palace over his Falklands missionPrince William is battling to go to the Falkland Islands next year as an RAF search-and-rescue helicopter pilot.
William finishes his training in the autumn and is due to travel to the Falklands for eight weeks next summer. But there is a huge question mark over whether Buckingham Palace will let him take up the post because Argentina is pressing its claim to the islands.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: “He will try everything in his power to make sure he goes out there with the rest of RAF Valley in Anglesey. He has Royal engagements and other official duties, and that has to be considered, but he is adamant that he is going.”
If this is true, does this rule out a royal wedding next year?… Royal weddings almost always take place during the summer. An 8-week Falklands tour of duty might prove too busy and distant for a proper wedding to take place.

Prince William is destined to fly old and unreliable helicopters in his next job – thanks to Prime Minister David Cameron’s spending axe. The Government reductions include cutting a £7billion programme for new search and rescue choppers.
Wills, who is on a two-year course at RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales, and other young pilots were due to fly the 190mph Sikorsky S92, dubbed “the safest helicopter in the world”. Instead they’ll have to stick with ageing Sea King choppers, which first entered service 33 years ago and are 30% slower.

With its secluded woodland and single access road, the sprawling estate opposite the famous Old Course in St Andrews, Fife, was the perfect place for the royal romance to flourish. Now Strathtyrum, literally a tee shot from the 17th hole, is set to be overtaken by a handful of the world’s wealthiest golf fans seeking a haven during this year’s Open Championship.
A number of properties – thought to include the cottage used by William and girlfriend Kate Middleton – have been rented out for the tournament by estate owner Henry Cheape, a distant cousin of the prince and a friend to the Royals.
Prince William spent two years living in a farmhouse in the grounds along with his girlfriend and two other friends, before graduating with a degree in geography from St Andrews University in 2005.

Prince Harry turned up all alone to watch one of his old friends tie the knot this weekend after leaving girlfriend Chelsy Davy at her family home in Zambia.
Sporting a golden tan after his trip to cheer on England in South Africa, he took on the role of usher at the wedding of his former equerry Mark Dyer and Texan heiress Amanda Kline. Dressed in a smart grey morning suit, the 25-year-old prince arrived with a group of friends at St Edmund’s Church in Crickhowell, Powys.
His brother William and girlfriend Kate Middleton were also originally on the guest list for the wedding, which should have taken place in April. However, it was postponed after the volcanic ash cloud prevented the bride’s family from travelling to Britain. William and Kate had accepted the invitation, but in the end the prince had to spend the day at RAF Valley in Anglesey, where he is training as a search and rescue pilot.

Prince Harry & Chelsy Davy - still together?
Harry sure is making time for Chelsy. Are they still together? Are they trying to work things out? Only time will tell…
Prince Harry has made a 7,500 mile dash – to spend just 48 hours with on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy. The 25-year-old royal jumped on a plane after his weekend charity trip to New York and flew more than 18 hours to spend just two days with Chelsy and her family at their new home in Zambia.
Before the New York trip, Harry & Chelsy were spotted having lunch in Cape Town.
Prince Harry has been left reeling after his girlfriend of six years revealed that she was going to quit London to move back to Africa to be with her family. Chelsy moved to England three years ago to be closer to the third in line to the throne and was studying to become a trainee solicitor. But despite being accepted by a prestigious City law firm, homesick Chelsy told Harry she just missed home too much.
Senior royal sources have stressed that the couple have not split up but friends say Chelsy’s decision has put a huge strain on the relationship. Later this month Harry will embark on a gruelling training course with the Army Air Corps to become an Apache attack helicopter pilot – with the promise of a return to the frontline in Afghanistan in as little as 18-months time.
His timetable will offer him precious little opportunity to jet off to Africa in order to keep his relationship alive.

America just wouldn’t stop. Another cover. This time, Life & Style…
When Kate Middleton finally walks down the aisle with Prince William, even her wildest imaginings will be surpassed! Life & Style has learned that the estimated value of Prince William’s inheritance is more than $24 billion.
“William will inherit the crown jewels, property and the royal art collection,” British journalist Katie Nicholl, author of the royal biography William and Harry, tells Life & Style. “Once Kate and William marry, the queen will give them a palace, and Kate will get a new Audi, the car manufacturer of choice for the royal family, and her own driver.”
Kate will be draped in expensive jewelry–including the crown jewels and the queen’s private collection, one of the largest in the world and worth roughly $57 million–and dressed by top designers. “Labels will be clamoring to dress her,” Nicholl explains.
William will become the head of the Royal Collection Trust, which includes more than 7,000 paintings, sculptures and antiques. He’s also heir to Queen Elizabeth’s private collection, which includes masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci. Total value: an estimated $15 billion. The couple will have access to several historic British residences like Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Kensington Palace, where his parents once lived in addition to the 310 properties passed down from the queen.
