Prince William to Spend Less Time with Kate Middleton as Duty Calls

Prince William & Kate Middleton spend a lot of time together in North Wales

Prince William is about to graduate as a search-and-rescue pilot, but the promotion spells bad news for long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton. RAF sources have revealed that the Prince is going to have to move into barracks at RAF Valley in Anglesey after he passes out later this month.

William’s new job means Kate will now see much less of him than when he was training, as the Prince will spend up to two weeks a month on base.

Military source says: ‘The wait for Kate is going to be even longer. The truth is that over the next few months, she is going to be seeing a lot less of William as he will be spending nearly two weeks of every month on base. The reason is that he will be on two shift rotas. For the shifts known as “firsts” he will be working round the clock and will need to be on base with his aircraft. He will be expected to be airborne within 15 minutes and there is no way he can do that if he’s not on the campus. When he does “second shifts” he will be able to be on call and then he’ll be able to stay at home with Kate.”

Kate Roasts William Over “Dragon” Jibe

Kate Middleton has given Prince William a roasting over her security call-sign – Dragon One. The Prince had been dubbed Dragon as a nod to the name he uses as an RAF officer – Flight Lieutenant Wales. The couple had been assigned the special code names by royal minders looking after them while William completes his air-sea rescue helicopter training in Wales.

“As a matter of course Kate became Dragon One, which in hindsight was a bit unfortunate given that she’s a very pretty young lady,” explained one aide. “Every member of the Royal Family is given a code name so staff and royal minders can discuss their movements without fear of security leaks. The names are rotated and changed on a regular basis so Kate is now something else.”

“But she did have words with William who thought it was very funny and wouldn’t stop using it. He took great delight in saying he was going home to the old dragon every night.”

Prince William & Kate Middleton Shop at Tesco

Lovebirds Prince William and Kate Middleton walked down the aisle in front of more than 200 onlookers at a Tesco supermarket. The couple stunned other customers as they did their weekly shop at Tesco’s Holyhead branch near RAF officer William’s airbase.

One onlooker said: “We were astonished to see them.”

The pair then filled a trolley with a range of everyday items just like a married couple. They bought household supplies. They we joking, laughing and tossing things into a trolley like any long-established couple doing a shop and they treated themselves to huge steaks so maybe a cosy night in was on the cards.

One punter asked for autographs but they politely refused. A guard seemed to be following at a discreet distance but other than that they looked so normal and didn’t stand out at all.

William and Kate have been going to Tesco since their student days in St. Andrews. They were also photographed shopping in a mini-mart in Blaenau Ffestiniog earlier this year.

Kate Middleton Puts Photo Exhibition on Hold

Fear of too much media scrutiny? Cold feet? Or as with many previous false speculations, maybe the information was NOT accurate to begin with… hence the media’s need to justify the incorrect story…?

Kate Middleton has shelved plans for a debut exhibition of her photographs, telling friends she cannot cope with the pressure of her job and handle the intense media interest in the show. The decision has prompted fresh debate about how she will cope as a future member of the Royal Family amid claims that courtiers are trying to suppress her independence, just as they did to Princess Diana.

Prince William’s girlfriend has been secretly preparing a portfolio of pictures for months. Four weeks ago, sources close to the 28-year-old confirmed that she planned to open an exhibition of her best work in London this autumn and hoped to use it to raise money for charity.

Now those same sources say that the project has been put on hold.

“It’s very much still an aspiration of hers but it’s been put on the back burner. If it ever happens, it may be long after the autumn,” said one friend. “She is working full-time as a website photographer for her family’s online and catalogue party business, Party Pieces, and she’s just not got around to it.”

New Rumour: Prince William & Kate Middleton to Wed on August 2011

Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton have been plagued by endless speculations about when they will tie the knot. Last week German aristocrat Prince Julius Eduard von Anhalt – a distant cousin of Prince Charles – claimed the pair will formally announce their engagement this autumn and marry next July.

Sources have now told the Daily Mail that secret discussions have indeed taken place about the possibility of a royal wedding next summer. According to well-placed sources, royal aides have made ‘discreet overtures’ to senior personnel at Westminster Abbey to hold a wedding there on the second weekend in August next year.

Although nothing has been set in stone, talks are sufficiently advanced for the issue to have been raised when the Queen and Prince Philip visited the Abbey on an official engagement in May, insiders say.

A senior source at the Abbey said: ‘A date has been earmarked for a royal wedding next year. It is very tentative at the moment but currently the second weekend in August has been mooted.’

‘Only the most senior personnel here have been privy to the discussions but my understanding is that the issue was raised when the Queen visited here back in May. Many commentators have ruled out Westminster Abbey because of the link with the prince’s late mother, but he has attended several official functions here in recent years and it would not put him off in the slightest.’

A St James’s Palace spokesman said: ‘It’s not true that enquiries have been made. The only two people who know anything about their future plans are Prince William and Kate Middleton.’

I do hope Kate Middleton has a cunning plan

And as a response to the above rumour, Barbara Ellen wrote this for The Guardian. It’s a cheeky entry about why should get out while the going’s still good.

“I don’t particularly care for Kate Middleton. Like so many in the royal swirl, she’s always appeared safe, dull, a cookie-cutter, far too careful not to frighten the corgis. That said, there’s been something undeniably nasty about Middleton’s treatment that says a lot about supposedly modern classless Britain.”

“If there is a big day, the best-case scenario would be for Kate to make it even bigger by jilting William at the altar and running away, out of the royal hell forever, screaming as she goes, loud and proud: “I’m a commoner, get me out of here!”

Prince William Passes Final Practical SAR Course

While a German aristocrat made the headlines last week with his unsubstantiated claim that Prince William would marry Kate Middleton next July, the couple have been quietly celebrating a genuine milestone.

Mandrake discloses that Prince William has passed the final stage of his practical course to become a qualified search-and-rescue helicopter pilot.

Flight Lieutenant Wales, as he is known, who is based at RAF Valley in Anglesey, has sucessfully completed his “flying handling” course. It means he only has topass his written assessment to become a fully-fledged search-and-rescue pilot,
hopefully as early as next month.

According to friends, Prince William, who flies Sea King helicopters, is convinced that he has chosen the right career path and is thriving on his search-and-rescue work in and around north Wales.

A senior courtier tells Mandrake: “We are not counting our chickens until Prince William passes the written test but he is highly motivated and, all being well, he will be fully operational by the end of September.”

German Aristocrat Says Prince William & Kate Middleton Marrying Next July. Palace Denies it.

A distant cousin of Prince Charles has claimed Prince William is already engaged to Kate Middleton and the pair have invited him to their wedding. Prince Julius Eduard von Anhalt, the Duke of Saxony, told Das Neue Blatt magazine that the pair will formally announce their engagement this autumn and marry next July.

He did not provide proof of the invitation and refused to give the exact date of the ceremony, saying it was confidential. He is well known in his home town of Berlin as a socialite and columnist, and often appears on television as a commentator on royal matters across Europe.

He said: ‘Kate issued William with an ultimatum: we marry or we break up. There are obviously no more objections from the public, so the engagement is set for this autumn.The wedding is set for July.’

Intriguingly, St. James Place quickly denied it, describing the comments as “nonsense” and “speculation.” A royal source added: “As far as I know he hasn’t shared any information with anyone about his intentions either way, we have always made clear that there is no planning going on.”

Clarence House says: “We’ve never heard of him and no wedding date has been set.”

One source close to Prince William added: “This gentleman does not know what he is talking about. Prince William has probably not even heard of him. ‘The engagement is still an if, not a when.”

Gossip rags OK! and Star magazines both have Prince William and Kate Middleton on the cover of their current issues. But they’re reporting totally conflicting stories…

OK! Magazine scored an interview with Paul Burrell, who was Princess Diana’s longtime butler and friend. He spent decades inside the royal household, serving Queen Elizabeth II, and later, as Princess Diana’s personal butler, until her death in 1997.

Today, Paul lives just a few miles from Prince William and Kate’s home in North Wales. Paul took OK! behind the closed doors of the palace to share all the details of Prince William and Kate’s wedding plan. He reveals why the wedding will be next year and all the “I do” details, plus Diana’s message to William and Kate.

Star Magazine is making claims that Kate Middleton is cheating on Prince William. The story is based on a photo of William’s friend whispering something on Kate ear at polo last month. Tired of waiting for him to put a ring on that finger, she’s allegedly flirting around with his best friend’s brother. William & Kate - the usual wedding speculations

Prince is to marry girlfriend Kate Middleton next summer, it was claimed. It is said the pair will officially announce their engagement this November. They will then marry in June in a glittering ceremony, one of the biggest royal occasions of the 21st Century.

Princess Diana’s biographer Tina Brown suggested earlier in the year that the wedding would announced in June this year. She said: “A wedding would probably follow in November.”

But it is now thought that her sources had mixed up the dates and the timing, with the announcement in November and the wedding the following June. If so, it is likely there would be a dress rehearsal on Friday June 3 and the ceremony on Saturday June 4.

The date for the marriage could also deflect attention away from the 30th anniversary of Charles and Diana’s doomed union on July 29. And it would also coincide with Prince Philip’s 90th birthday on June 10, giving William’s grandad a perfect present.

St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle has been mooted as the venue for the ceremony. Buckingham Palace has been suggested as the venue for a reception.

William and Kate, both 28, met at the University of St Andrews, Fife, in 2001. Now sources say it looks as though they are ready to make the ultimate commitment to each other.

For the Mail can reveal that William and Kate are distant cousins. Not only that, the common ancestor who links the two lovers is a murderous despot whose bloody deeds have been deliberately forgotten by history. Until now.

The man who links William and Kate as kith and kin is Sir Thomas Leighton, an Elizabethan soldier, diplomat and, for 40 years, the cut-throat Governor of Guernsey.

He is William’s 12th generation great-grandparent, and Kate’s 11th, making them 12th cousins, once removed.

Kate Middleton Preparing for Photography Exhibit

Wonderful, if true. Would love to see some of Kate’s work. Hope having the story leaked to the press won’t jeopardise any existing plans.

Snap happy Kate Middleton is focusing on developing her role as print-cess in waiting – by landing a job as a photographer. The girlfriend of Prince William – often slammed for being workshy – is said to be “exhilarated” after landing the deal for an exhibition of her work.

Robert Jobson of News of the World reveals that Kate has been secretly preparing a portfolio of pictures for months while living with William in Wales.

Kate – who studied photography as part of her History of Art degree – is now finalising details of the London show due to take place later this year.

An insider says: “This is Kate’s passion. She has always wanted to be a photographer since she was a student. It is a bit ironic that after all her run-ins with photographers she has now become one. I suppose if you can’t beat them, join them.”

Among Kate’s best work to be exhibited in the autumn is a hazy sunset. There is also a brilliant “wild seascape”. It’s hoped the show will raise money for charity.

Prince William Adds £1.4m to Security Bill by Choosing to Live Off-Base

Prince William is under fire again…

Prince William’s decision to live outside his RAF base will cost the taxpayer £1.4 million a year, it has been revealed. As second in line to the throne, the prince is classified as the highest security risk and has round-the-clock armed protection.

A 15-strong unit of armed officers from North Wales Police has been set up to protect the Prince as he undertakes a three-year helicopter pilot training course at RAF Valley on Anglesey. The bill for providing round-the-clock armed protection at the island retreat means North Wales Police will lose 15 frontline officers unless it is given additional public funds.

William is renting a secluded country cottage near the port of Holyhead rather than living at the heavily protected RAF base so he can spend more time with his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, and their friends.

The extra cost of protecting him outside the base has infuriated police chiefs at a time when force budgets are being slashed and royal protection funding is under intense scrutiny.

A spokesman for Clarence House refused to discuss policing arrangements. He added: “Prince William has lived off-base for almost two years now and he’s lived in this particular cottage since about March. It isn’t new. For an officer of his age and rank it is quite normal to live off-base for reasons of privacy. Obviously if you live on base, when you are off-duty you only have your room to go to. This is what most officers do, especially when they become operational which the prince will be in the autumn.”

Prince William is tickled by Rory Bremner the racy court jester

Princes William and Harry are amused as Rory Bremner makes them the butt of his jokes at a charity event.

At a fundraiser for the Great Western Air Ambulance last weekend, the television impressionist joked that William was interested in air ambulances only because he liked to use the helicopters to drop off his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, who was also present.

The fancy-dress event at the Beaufort Polo Club had a cowboy theme and Bremner lamented that Harry could not wear his Nazi uniform.

Paul Weir, the charity’s chief executive, says: “How refreshing that Princes William and Harry were able to share in Rory Bremner’s jokes, even if they were at the expense of their Royal Highnesses. Their sense of fun and good humour really put the seal on a wonderful event.”

He’s second in line to the throne… but Prince William was third to bat at a cricket match on Saturday. William got nine runs at the charity game organised by a pal in Bledington, Oxon, before being caught.
